Welcome! I am a professional portrait artist based in Gloucestershire. I regularly undertake commissions for custom portraits of horses, dogs and cats along with commisions for portraits of family members, especially children.

Because of the highly detailed and lifelike quality of my pet and family portraits I am often asked to undertake commissions for special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries and weddings.

I regularly exhibit with my equestrian art first showing with the Society of Equestrian Artists in 2006, receiving their award for the Best Work in any Medium by an artist under 35 in 2007, and achieving associate status with the Society in 2008.

This year I was also fortunate enough to be awarded the Directors Award at the International Art Competition Ex Arte Equinus II run by the American publication Art Horse Magazine. In addition to 'Alert' winning the Directors Award 'The Stare' received 7th place in the Painting category.

Forest of Dean Open Studios

I will be opening my studio in conjunction with the Forest of Dean Open Studios on 11/12 July and 18/19 July. I will be working on a painting, have limited edition prints for sale and be available to answer any questions you may have. I look forward to meeting you.

Directions

When entering the village of Soudley, park in the White Horse Inn car park which is at the centre of the village. This is also a great place to go if you fancy some lunch (please note they can only take cash) or to sit out in their pub garden whilst taking in the stunning forest views. When you have parked in the car park, head towards the gate which will have an Open Studios sign next to it and upon reaching the footpath, go left and follow this path along until you get to Dormer Cottage, the fourth house on the right. Again, I will have signs for the Open Studio outside our house. We don't have the space outside our house for customer parking so please use the pub car park. Soudley is also a fantastic area to go for walks in the forest, around Soudley Ponds, up to Blaize Bailey where you can see across the River Severn towards the Cotswolds or to visit the Dean Heritage Centre.
