Commissioning a portrait is a very personal and special experience and Sally likes to make the process as easy and worry free as possible for her clients. The painting might be a present to capture a wonderful moment in time, it might be purely to tell someone how much you love them or it might be to document a slice of your child’s time in their life. It might also be to recognise an amazing achievement. Whatever the occasion, commissioning a portrait is a unique and lasting legacy.

Drawing on years of experience, Sally can advise from the best photograph to work from to the size of the painting that would work best for you. Sally works from photos either provided by yourself or she can arrange a photo shoot at your home. Sally works in oils, providing a painting that will last for many years and that can be handed down from generation to generation.

Once you have decided on the size of painting, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your order and the final 50% is payable upon completion of the painting. Sally provides work in progress photos during the process to keep you fully involved. Once the painting is completed, agreed and paid for, Sally will ship the painting to you, wherever in the world you may be. Sally can also give you advice on caring for your painting and framing.

If you are considering commissioning a portrait, please do contact Sally on mail@sallylancaster.co.uk and she will enjoy answering any questions you may have.
